Top 5 Highest Attack Range Champions in League of Legends

Every Champion in League of Legends has range, whether a melee brute or a gun-crazy maniac. Of course, the latter ones will have much more range than the former, and we’re here to discuss just that.

Some Champions in League of Legends have a range so big that they can stay safe and strong for most of the game. You’ll see how efficient they are during the Laning Phase, in terms of farming and poking and team fights as well.

Things can get pretty obscene in League of Legends when range is discussed, so prepare yourselves.

With the introduction out of the way, let us begin with the 5 Highest Attack Range Champions in League of Legends.

    5. Kindred

Kindred is a ranged AD Jungler with a lot of DPS and unique mechanics. One of those mechanics is her passive – Mark of the Kindred. This ability marks a Champion or a neutral minion camp that Kindred can kill and get a stack of her passive, i.e., a Mark.

Each Mark grants Kindred bonus attack range, which stacks up to 25 times. At 25 Marks, Kindred will have a 750 attack range, almost as long as a Turret.

However, it isn’t the easiest thing to collect 25 Marks with Kindred, especially against certain team compositions. Only in higher elo games can such a thing ever have a chance of happening, and it takes a more than pro player to do so.

At any rate, even half of that will give Kindred a ton of bonus range, which will greatly empower her attacks. She already hits hard, and allowing herself to do a ton of damage from a safe distance turns Kindred into a real menace.

As for the recommendation, I wouldn’t recommend Kindred to anyone. She’s too niche and different in many ways from your usual Champion. But, if you’re into that sort of thing – you will not be disappointed by any means.

    4. Twitch

Twitch also uses one of his abilities to amplify his attack range. Differing from Kindred, he uses one that is more readily available and doesn’t take blood, sweat, and tears to achieve. It even has a longer range. Talk about Riot’s sense of balance.

Anyhow, Twitch increases his base 550 range to 850 (the same as a Turret) by using his Ultimate – Spray and Pray. This spell not only amplifies Twitch’s range but adds to his damage as well. The bullets are turned into piercing ones, going through enemies and even hitting multiple people at once if they stand too close behind each other.

It is a powerful spell that has spelled the end of many a full team comp, with Pentakills being usual in the right players’ hands. Twitch is a powerful ADC, one of the strongest in the game. He’s managed to remain dormant throughout the years, and I believe it’s mostly due to his simplicity.

Everything in his kit, combined with how easy it is to use, makes Twitch a great pick. I recommend him to anyone trying the ADC role and to ones versed in it, too.

    3. Seraphine

Her passive – Stage Presence increases Seraphine’s basic attack range. Her base attack range is 525 and can be increased up to 1025 at 20 Notes stacked.

Notes are granted to Seraphine and her allies when she casts spells, and there can be 4 max Notes active on any Champion in Seraphine’s team. Each active note increases Seraphine’s range by 25, totaling 500 at max stacks.

Since Seraphine will be spamming spells left and right, she’ll maintain at least a certain number of Notes at all times, if not the maximum. This will, in turn, allow her to almost permanently keep a long-range, making her get a safe range to poke with her attacks.

Sadly, Seraphine is an Enchanter and won’t profit much from the increased range. However, it is still nice to have in specific situations, and naturally, it lands her a spot on this list since the range is quite substantial.

I love Enchanter Champions, and thus I recommend Seraphine to anyone sharing my sentiments.

    2. Caitlyn

Caitlyn has a base range of 650, which would put her near, if not on the very top of this list, if we were speaking only of base ranges. However, we’re looking at the maximum range of Champions, and therefore she will satisfy herself with the number two spot for now.

I often praise Caitlyn for her insane range, giving her amazing potential during the Laning Phase. She can keep a huge gap between her and the opposing Laners, safely farming from a distance and not worrying much about being ganked or pushed too far.

Even if pushed too far, she can utilize her powerful range to remain somewhat safe while farming, making her the safest farming ADC out there.

Caitlyn’s range only gets more insane when she Traps, or Nets opponents with her W and E. Opponents caught in these two abilities give Caitlyn a whopping 1300 attack range on them, an insane amount. This is coupled with the extra damage she receives from her passive – Headshot – making Caitlyn a deadly ranged Assassin just waiting for her prey.

With this range and her mechanics, Cait embodies the huntress personality that will certainly keep your enemies guessing and make them extra wary about stepping into every bush.

I recommend Cait to everyone and anyone. She’s too fun to miss out on.

    1. Aphelios

Ok, this Champion again. I think I don’t have to elaborate how much I hate this Champion, and I’ve kept him banned in almost all of my games since the day he was released.

However, it is what it is, and Aphelios is king when it comes to range (at least, sort of).

Enemies marked when Aphelios uses his Sniper Rifle grant him a brutal 1800 attack range for his next basic attack on them. This range is more than double that of a Turret, which allows Aphelios to literally Snipe enemies from one end of the map to the other.

It’s amazing how no one knows what Riot was thinking while designing this Champion. All you have to do is go to the league wiki and look at the Aphelios ability page. The only thing you’ll think is, “What the f***?”

    Honorable Mention – Senna

I put Senna as an Honorable Mention, and yet, she is the true Queen of range in League of Legends. Why? Well, Senna can achieve infinite range. Yes, you’ve read that right.

Each stack of Senna’s passive grants her extra range. This passive can stack infinitely, and the more a game goes on, the bigger Senna’s range will be. The average game will have Senna easily achieve a range of over 700 to 800 if she farms and gets passive stacks properly.

If the game goes on for too long, she’ll be sniping people with her basic attacks like insane, especially if she gets an item like Rapid Firecannon that only makes things worse.

Since it isn’t really fair to compare infinity with concrete numbers, she’ll have to do with an honorable mention. But you should all know and not forget – Senna is the true number one spot when it comes to range in League.

    Conclusion

As we can see, range can sometimes get pretty wild in League of Legends. So wild that people are sniping each other from one end of the map to the other, something that shouldn’t ever be possible outside of global Ultimates. Some of these ranged effects on the list have been a matter of controversy in the community, so make sure you leave your own piece of mind below.
