Top 7 Best Outplay Champions in League of Legends

We all love to see people outplaying each other. Whether it be a professional player or just us juking the hell out of someone in a ranked match – it’s always a fun time. A particular display of power and skill over the enemies is extra special to do and see.

We’ve all seen these outplays, but there always seem to be a select few Champions doing them. It made me wonder if some Champions are way better for making amazing outplays than others, and, of course, they are.

Skill plays the most significant part when making an outplay. I mean, you can’t do anything in this game if you don’t know how to, right? But some Champions seem to have been built for this exact purpose and will take way less effort to outplay than others.

In this list, I’ve compiled 7 of the best outplay Champions. These are, in my opinion, the best at the moment, and this list might be subject to change with some rework, patches and the like. If anything of the sort does happen, we’ll make sure to update the list.

So, without further delay, let us begin with our list!

    7. LeBlanc

I’ve seen so many people outplay others with LeBlanc that I cannot even begin to mention them. Like, I think there is no single game with LeBlanc that she doesn’t outplay people. I think she is a Champion that was literally built to outplay others. Sometimes, I wonder if she has any other purpose than doing just that.

Her outplay mechanics come mostly from her W and Ultimate – Mimic. After casting a spell, LeBlanc can recast it using her Ultimate. Her W dashes her for a distance and leaves behind a shade that she can return to by reusing the ability. It is insane what I’ve seen LeBlanc do with just this simple spell.

There are so many compilations around the internet of LeBlanc using this simple ability to obliterate people and make them rage quit. I mean, she did it to me countless times, and I still want to poke my eyes out every time it happens.

I recommend you give LB a try for some fun times.

    6. Zed

Zed is perhaps the outplay Champion of League of Legends. From the early days of League of Legends professional play, he has been the Champion with the most compilation videos of him ultimately making fools out of his enemies. It is insane how much this Champion has contributed to the outplay department of League of Legends, and the compilation videos are being made to this very day. And there is no sign that they’re stopping any time soon.

Zed’s primary tools for these mechanical dominations are his W and Ultimate. These two spells provide Zed with the shadows he can jump to and use to do some pretty crazy stuff. Too many times has Zed been in positions where he was supposed to die and yet evaded his fate so masterfully.

The shadows he has are some of the most powerful spells in the game, and he can do a ton of damage with them to the unsuspecting victim. Even in moments where Zed is clearly on the losing side, he can manage to emerge victorious and dominant over the enemies trying to do the same to him.

Despite this not being a numbered list, I have to proclaim that Zed is the best outplay Champion in the entire game. The following are good, exceptional even, but Zed is Zed, and that’s where we should be ending all discussion.

    Play him.

    5. Katarina

Katarina enjoys similar status to Zed, and I can sometimes even think of them as equals. Her low cooldowns and high mobility are the primary reasons for her outplay infamy. She can do so many things so quickly that you might lose track of what the hell just happened to you. Even Katarina players themselves can be like: OK, what did I do there, exactly?

I don’t have to explain her kit in detail since everything about it contributes to her outplay capabilities. Katarina’s blazing speed is a part of her passive, and her cooldowns are reduced with each kill or assist she gets.

In fights, you can clearly see how chaotic that can become. Katarina can obliterate people and make them scratch their heads in complete wonder.

I recommend you try her and see these insane moments for yourself. But there are plenty of videos online to show you anyways.

    4. Yasuo

Yasuo is definitely one of the most powerful Champions in League of Legends. It pains me to say that because he is also a Champion which I hate the most. I haven’t purchased Yasuo for the past 8 years, and I won’t do it in the future. That’s how much I hate him.

Anyhow, despite my hatred for him, I have to admit that he’s a superb Champion regarding outplays. He can, using his fantastic speed and low cooldowns, do whatever he wants with you as long as he is near some minions. This gives Yasuo some extreme dominance potential in the Lane, but he does lose some leverage he would usually have outside of it.

His popularity for outplays is off the charts, and he rivals the previous two. These three are the outplay triumvirate in League of Legends, and there are rarely any other Champions that can come close. Zed reigns supreme, that much is certain, but Yasuo can sometimes equal him with his insane playstyle.

I recommend you try Yasuo, but don’t do it for too much because then you’ll become just one more Yasuo main, and I will have to hate you for that.

    3. Camille

Camille’s outplay capability is a bit lower when compared to the previous 4 entries. I mean, she still deserves to be on the list, but she’s at a position on the list where she just comes after the 4 bests of the best and can barely compete. Despite this, she still has a lot of potential to outplay people, and here’s why.

Camille’s E is her primary mobility tool which she can use to her advantage in many different ways. She can use it for some insane mechanical gameplay and jumping around. This mechanical gameplay makes Camille super challenging to play against and warrants some outplays from her side.

As a Top Lane main, I can’t even begin to mention the number of times Camille players have juked, outplayed, and downright obliterated me. This Champion has a knack for messing with your head – she will either do things with speed and abruptness or she will go methodically and slow. It creates this veil of unpredictability that makes Camille’s advantage so much easier to obtain and thus causes you to make stupid mistakes, outplaying you in the process.

I recommend you give her a try. She is a bit on the difficult side, but it pays off when you see how much potential she carries.

    2. Fiora

Fiora is an infamous Champion in League of Legends, more for her strength and power to duel than her outplays. However, the constant dueling does create a lot of room for some pretty tasty outplays, and Fiora never misses an open opportunity.

There is not much to be said about her since she outplays come from her own nature of being a duelist. Her W is the primary tool she will use to punish people’s big mistakes against her. Her mobility, speed, and damage can all be used to make incredible plays and outplays if the moment arises.

Fiora is one of the best Fighters in the game. She has such a massive potential for snowballing that, at times, she can singlehandedly carry games. It is incredible how complex this Champion can be, so give her a try because you will undoubtedly be having a lot of fun.

    1. Fizz

Fizz’s primary tools of outplaying others are his spells. I bet you didn’t see that one coming. Fizz has a couple of spells that are infamous for giving him some exciting ways of traversal. I’m talking about his Q and E. His Q is a simple spell and requires a target to cast. The dash can actually make you more vulnerable than you would otherwise be, but it has its uses as an outplay spell.

However, the real deal is that his E. Fizz’s E gives him a jump in which he becomes completely untargetable for the duration. The duration is arbitrary and can last for a couple of seconds or immediately end, depending on Fizz’s decision to recast it or not. Recasting it gives him extra range and mobility while holding on for longer makes him stay in the same place. Both uses have their own moments of viability.

The low cooldowns of these spells and Fizz’s constant spamming of both make him one of the most hated Champions in the game. It seems like you never have an opportunity to catch this wretched fish. And even if you did, he just jumps away like nothing’s happened. Walls? Terrain? Structures? Fizz can jump over them, and he doesn’t give a damn about what you think of it.

Fizz is an incredible Champion in many ways, this being one of them. I highly suggest you give him a try since he is among the best Mid Lane Champions to ever release in League of Legends.
