Top 10 Most Expensive League of Legends Skins and Their Value in 2024

If you started playing League of Legends in its early stages, you’ll probably recognize some of these skins, but do you know their value in 2024? Even though the skins on the list down below don’t really look good, they’re so valuable thanks for their rarity.

    10. Pumpkinhead Fiddlesticks – 50$

Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

If you’ve ever wanted to play with the Fiddlesticks character while rocking a Sleepy Hollow kind of aesthetic – a specialty skin only ever made available in 2010 during one of the original special LOL holiday events – you’ll want to track down this pumpkin-headed version.

While you won’t look precisely like the headless horseman (the pumpkin head is squarely attached to the top of Fiddlesticks with this skin (you are going to look pretty haunting. The design wasn’t initially all that beloved by fans – in fact, most of them thought it was pretty lackluster – but now it is one of the truly rare League of Legends skins that gets you instantly identified as an OG account holder.

    9. Rusty Blitzcrank – 70$

Rusty Blitzcrank Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

Rusty Blitzcrank, known for its rarity and unique history. Released on November 20, 2009, this skin features Blitzcrank, the Great Steam Golem from Zaun, in a rusty and old appearance, a stark contrast to his usual polished look. The skin doesn’t introduce new animations, particles, or sounds; it mainly offers a new texture, giving Blitzcrank a corroded metal exterior.

What makes Rusty Blitzcrank particularly interesting is that it was quickly removed from the game store shortly after its release. This decision was made because the skin was seen as too similar to Blitzcrank’s original design, just with added rust. This rarity has made the skin a sought-after item among players, especially those who appreciate the early history and exclusives of the game.

Currently, Rusty Blitzcrank is classified as a limited skin and is part of the Legacy collection. It was originally priced at 520 Riot Points but is no longer available for purchase in the store. The skin’s removal and the lack of significant changes compared to the original model contribute to its status as one of the rarest skins in League of Legends.

    8. Championship Riven (2012) – 130$

Championship Riven Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

Every single account holder that attended the World Championship event back in Season Two (which feels like a lifetime ago, doesn’t it?) was immediately gifted this wild Riven skin. The next couple of months or absolutely filled with games and lobbies of players rocking this skin variation, and the secondary market went bananas in the immediate aftermath of the WC with this skin regularly commanding prices close to $400 (and sometimes even higher than that).

Things have come back down to a little bit for what used to be one of the rarest LoL skins ever made. That’s because the folks at RIOTS decided to re-release the skin during the 2015 World Championships – but only one person was able to actually claim this prize by picking the winner of every tournament.

    7. Silver Kayle – 140$

Silver Kayle Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

It’s almost impossible to think of right now, but 14 years ago (give or take a couple of months), you could actually walk into your favorite gaming store or electronics store and purchase a physical copy of League of Legends – something new players won’t even be able to imagine.

But OG players on League are going to remember this well, especially since they were able to land a completely custom skin – this one – decked out in full silver-plated armor that’s impossible to get any longer. You’ll have to pony up a decent chunk of change to land this skin, that’s for sure.

    6. Victorious Jarvan IV – 160$

Victorious Jarvan IV Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

If you played League back in 2011 and were hypercompetitive, the chances are pretty good that you dedicated yourself to dominating the original rated season that took up most of that year.

Players that successfully completed this initial challenge were given this skin as a gift, starting a tradition that would later follow on for pretty much every season of League to follow. This was the original Victorious Skin, though, and there’s something really cool about having it on your account – particularly when you want to flex on new players that are trying to get the latest Victorious skin.

A lot of people consider this to still be the best looking of all the Victorious options, even though there were no new animations added to this unique skin. The silver and gold pallet is absolutely gorgeous, though, and it’s still a skin that a lot of top-tier players like to use if they have the chance to do so.

    5. Young Ryze (Human Ryze) – 180

Young Ryze Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

Another one of the most expensive League of Legends skins ever produced, the only people that have this skin in their library are those that preordered the original LoL – and there are a whole lot fewer people who did that compared to those that bought a physical copy back in 2009.

This skin was bundled with another, even more expensive LoL skins money can buy, but we will dig a little deeper into that in a moment. Just know that the odds of either of these skins ever landing in the LOL store are slim to none.

    4. PAX Sivir – 185$

Pax Sivir Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

The second line of the PAX LoL skins was given out to attendees that visited the conference back in 2011.

It isn’t quite as rare as the original PAX skin (the one we’ll highlight in just a second), but a lot of that has to do with the fact that people knew that they were going to get a free League skin if they attended the conference, whereas the original PAX skin was a total surprise.

If you didn’t attend PAX back in 2011, though, you probably got skunked out of this skin – though you can pick it up on the secondary market for a decent amount of dough if you’re interested.

    3. PAX Jax – 190$

Pax Sivir Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

Every year, thousands of people flood into PAX to check out everything that the gaming world has to offer, and if you were lucky enough to go all the way back in 2010, the odds are pretty good that you landed an exclusive code (printed on a physical card, if you can imagine that) that allow you to redeem this skin specifically.

Relatively difficult to find these days, every now and again, you can find people offering legitimate codes for this skin on sites like eBay at prices that hover around $200 (but sometimes get up to as high as $400).

Just aware that these codes do have a hard expiration date imposed by the folks at RIOT. If you don’t redeem it soon, you might never get a chance to again.

    2. Black Alistar – 220$

black alistar Most Expensive League of Legends Skin and Their Value in 2022 2023

Just like the Young Rize skin that we mentioned above, the only way for you to get your hands on the Black Alistar skin was to actually have preordered LoL all the way back in the day.

This skin is rarer than the other (making it one of the rarest skins in League), but either one of these preorder rewards is next to impossible to find on active player accounts – let alone find on the secondary market.

If you do run up against someone running this skin, just know that they have (quite literally) been here since the before the beginning of League. That’s pretty wild think about, but they are legitimate OG accounts.

    1. PAX Twisted Fate – 300$

    PAX Twisted Fate

This version of the Twisted Fate skin was the very first one to be handed out at PAX back in 2009 when most people hadn’t even heard of League of Legends yet – and certainly well before it caught fire as one of the most popular videogames ever made.

Like all of the other PAX skins you had to get a physical code to redeem in-game to land this skin on your account, but only the first 20,000 attendees that visited the League booth were able to get their hands on one.
That makes the Twisted Fate the absolute rarest skin in League right now as well as one of the most valuable. You’ll only be able to get it on the secondary market if you don’t already have it on your account, and you can expect to spend at least $300 (and sometimes a whole lot more than that) if you want to wear this skin when you are waging digital war in LoL.

What do you think about these most expensive League of Legends skins? Would you personally buy one of them?
