How Much Data Does Teamfight Tactics Consume?

As you already know the gaming industry is rapidly shifting to a multiplayer future, with many big titles eschewing single player content for a pure multiplayer experience.

Back in the good old days, this might have meant gathering around a single Nintendo 64; now, most multiplayer gaming is done online.

Of course, playing a game online will use data. The good news is this won’t make a huge dent in your monthly broadband allowance; most modern titles use somewhere between 40MB to 300MB per hour.

Even at the high end, that’s less than a third of a standard definition Netflix stream

Of course, this can still add up over a month – especially if you or a family member are an avid gamer – so to help, we’ve put together a list of how much data you can expect to use when playing the latest and greatest games – such as Fortnite, PUBG, Minecraft, and Overwatch – online.

Approximate Data Usage Per Hour For Popular Games

Online multiplayer games like Teamfight Tactics can eat through limited internet data – like the data that comes with fixed mobile data and mobile hotspot plans.

While Teamfight Tactics doesn’t use as much internet data as massively multiplayer and battle royale game modes, you might still need to monitor your data use if you play the game on a capped internet connection.

How Much Data Does Playing Teamfight Tactics Use?

Teamfight Tactics uses about 60 MB of data per hour. Your exact data use depends on factors like the number of players in the game and the specifications of your gaming system.

1 game in TFT lasts around 25 to 45 minutes according to your performance. 1 game consumes around 45 Mb of internet data. You can think that as 1 Mb per minute.

Make sure you have the all updates for the games before connecting with limited mobile data for your computer. Unless you may consume your mobile internet data so fast. Playing 1-hour Teamfight Tactics will spend 60 Mb bandwidth. That means when you play 1 hour daily,  you will consume 1800 Mb bandwidth in a month. If you addicted to this game and you play 2 hours a day, you will consume 3600 Mb in a month.

How Much Data Does it Take to Download Teamfight Tactics?

    PlatformFile size
    Microsoft Windows<12 GB
    Android56 MB
    Mac OS<12 GB
    iOS83 MB

Download size is a compressed version of file size, so it’ll be smaller. Game downloads are almost always packed in archive formats like “.zip” or “.rar” so they download more quickly.

How Much Data Does it Take to Update Teamfight Tactics?

Teamfight Tactics has frequent updates of around 500 MB, so it’s important to keep an eye on these if you’re conserving data. For the most up-to-date information on game patches, see the League of Legends Game Updates. To keep an update from eating up too much data, turn off auto-updates in the game or console settings and manually update Teamfight Tactics instead.

How to Reduce Teamfight Tactics Data Use?

If you’re trying to keep your data use as low as possible, here are a few things you can do to limit your data consumption while playing Teamfight Tactics:

Play without voice chat. While Teamfight Tactics doesn’t have native voice chat, you can still talk to other players on platforms like Discord, Zoom, or Skype. These voice apps can double your data use to 120 MB per hour, so it’s best to avoid them if you’re already tight on data.

Play on a slower server. Most game servers have a tick rate of either 64 or 128 Hz. A 64 tick server refreshes the game 64 times a second, or approximately once every 15 milliseconds. A 128 tick server syncs with clients 128 times a second or once every 8 milliseconds. It also uses about twice as much data. To save data, choose community servers with lower tick rates.

Limit your client update rate. Client update rate is how many times per second your computer can process the updates it gets from the server. Your game update rate will be either your server tick rate or client update rate, whichever is lower. Limit your client update rate in your settings to reduce online data use when you’re playing on a game server with a high tick rate.

Get More Data With Fixed Wireless Internet

To play Teamfight Tactics without putting your data limit in jeopardy, consider a fixed wireless internet connection with a high data cap. This home Wi-Fi connection is ideal for rural gamers without access to wired internet connections like cable or fiber. Known Issues on TFT Mobile

As we enter the Mobile Soft Launch for TFT, we know that errors are a part of life. I thought I’d compile a list of potential issues and fixes to get you back in-game as soon as possible.

    Loading Screen Issues

If you’ve lost your internet connection before signing in with your Riot Account, you may end up stuck on a white loading screen.
Solution? Completely close and restart the App. If that doesn’t work, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

    The Login Button Didn’t Appear

If you don’t see the login button, you may have connected to your network after the screen loaded.
Solution? Force close and restart the app once you’re securely connected to the internet.

I was Kicked Back to the Login Screen

Sometimes, when the network disconnects, it can push you back to the login screen.
Solution? If this happens, just force restart the app!

A Player Wasn’t On The End of game Stats Screen

This is a visual error, all players’ progress will still be accounted for.
