With how fast-paced life seems to accelerate these days, it’s sometimes nice to step back and appreciate the road behind us. Occasionally, looking back at the path you’ve taken can be a nice way to appreciate the present. It’s also a nifty way to see the drastic changes you may not have noticed due to the slow, gradual process.
League of Legends has come far from the early days. I’d even go as far as saying it’s become one of the global staples, and is a household name regardless of where you come from. Let’s take a look at your journey with Riot as we attempt to answer the question: how do you check how old your account is?

Method to the Madness
There are a couple of ways we can go about this, and none of them are as straightforward as you would think. Surely it must be buried underneath your profile settings, right? Perhaps you can navigate through the client to find it? Unfortunately, it isn’t that simple. Almost a decade ago, there used to be a site with the URL quickfind.kassad.in where you could simply type in your summoner name to get that sort of information.
No strings attached. However, due to security reasons and how Riot implements security measures, they no longer have access to information like that. Don’t worry though! There are still a couple of methods we can use. So let’s follow the breadcrumbs, and hopefully they lead us to the information we seek.
Follow the Clues
As previously mentioned, there isn’t a straightforward way for us to see the actual age of our account, there are a few options we can explore in order to get information regarding our Riot account. Most of these methods require digging through. The simplest way would be to start with your email address.
Regardless of when you joined, chances are, there’s a confirmation email lying around your inbox. Account creation from Riot indicates when you joined League, give or take, and the fact that this was Riot’s first game reinforces that.
Another way would be to look for anything that could even remotely indicate when you started playing. A good way would be to try to recall when you purchased your first skin. The way collections are set up now, it actually shows you what year you acquired it. Meaning, if you vaguely recall getting your first skin months after you started playing, then you at least have a rough idea of when you joined.
Other clues could be conversations with friends, screenshots, or maybe even e-receipts from your purchases if that was even a thing when you started playing.

Contacting Riot
In the worst-case scenario, you could also send Riot a ticket asking for such information. I tried this myself, and they flat out declined; again, this is for security reasons. They did have a data sheet that contained information about your account that they used to charge $5 for.
However, upon visiting their website, I found out it didn’t reveal much in the context of how old your account is. According to Riot, doing so gives you the following:
- Your Summoner name, username, and server
- The phone number attached to your account
- Your registered date of birth
- Aggregate report history, including reports made and received from the last 3 months (or the past 100 games, if you’ve played more than that in the last 3 months)
- In-game chat logs for the last 3 months (or the past 100 games, if you’ve played more than that in the last 3 months)
- Login history for the last 3 months
- Player Support ticket history
- Account modifications for the last 3 months
- All store transactions (skins, champions, etc.)
- All monetary (RP) purchases
Once more, it looks like we’ve hit another dead end, except for maybe the RP purchases and all store transactions. If none of those work for you, trying to recall what champion was released when you started is also a viable option. If you do, you could just search for the champion release date through resources you can find online.
At the end of the day, it looks like most of the options involve a good deal of detective work on your end, as well as some memory management.
Hopefully, this article has helped you locate the age of your Riot account for whatever reason you may need it for. So what do you think? Do you have any tips or trips that could potentially help us solve this problem? Let us know in the comments below!
