Why Should You Play Conqueror Singed?
If you ask the average League of Legends player who the weakest champion in the game is, chances are that they would answer Singed. Singed is a very unpopular character on Summoner’s Rift, with an average play rate of 1.88% percent. But why is Singed so weak right now? Why no one plays him? And does Conqueror fits into Singed’s playstyle?
There are many reasons why it’s difficult to win as Singed in season 12. Here are the top three.
First of all, Singed is an old champion, and everybody knows his strengths and weaknesses. And so, he can’t surprise enemies by outplaying them in a new way.
Second, Singed’s damage is DPS (damage per second) and is designed to slowly melt down his enemies. This is the opposite of what usually wins in season 12. And if you take a look at the S-tier champions in every role, you’ll see that all those picks have amazing burst/one-shot.
Third, it’s tough for Singed to deal damage when everybody can simply walk away from his poisons.
So, how does Conqueror attempts to solve this?
Conqueror is a stacking rune that increases AD or AP (depending on the champion) while in combat. This allows you to deal more damage and stay longer in a fight. With Singed, in particular, it allows him to run around his enemies in a team fight without the fear of being blown in 1 second.
When compared to the other keystone choices for Singed, Conqueror is the superior one. Players also go for Predator or Ultimate or Unsealed Spellbook, but both of those runes are a better fit in professional play than solo queue.
So, let’s see the runes and items of Conqueror Singed!

The Best Conqueror Singed Runes
Conqueror
Every time you damage an enemy champion with an attack or an ability, Conqueror grants you 2 stacks that last for 4 seconds. Repeated attacks grant you more stacks. And when you reach 12 stacks, Conqueror allows you to heal for 9% of all the damage you deal.
As you can see, this is the perfect keystone for Singed because he can easily spread his damage through multiple enemies. He simply needs to run around in team fights with his poison turned on to stack Conqueror. Conqueror also grants 2-4 Adaptive Damage per stack, which makes Singed’s poisons lethal.
Conqueror can be a great keystone for 1v1 duels in the top lane as well. Of course, most fighters you’ll encounter in the top will also have Conqueror. However, this way, Singed has a chance of defeating them or surviving their damage.
Triumph
Triumph is the next rune you need in the Precision tree. This is a simple rune that heals you whenever you score a kill or an assist. It restores 12% of your current missing health, plus gives you 20 additional gold.
Of course, the gold isn’t much, but the healing will help you survive longer in fights. It can sometimes save you from Ignite or other damage-over-time effects that linger even after you’ve slain your enemy.
Legend: Tenacity
Legend: Tenacity is absolutely a must-have rune for Singed, regardless of whether you play him with Conqueror, Predator, Unsealed Spellbook, or with other keystones. It lowers the duration of all crowd control (except airborne and suppression), allowing Singed to always run around freely and spread his poisons.
Legend: Tenacity works with Legend stacks. And just like Legend: Alacrity and Legend: Bloodline, you gain stacks by slaying champions, epic or large monsters. Each stack grants 2.5% Tenacity, and you can have a maximum of 10 stacks, which means 25% Tenacity.
However, this rune also grants 5% Tenacity right away, so that equals a total of 30% Tenacity just from this rune alone!
Last Stand
And Last Stand is the last rune you want to take from Precision. It fits perfectly into the playstyle of Signed, so you have no reason not to take it.
Last Stand increases your damage anywhere from 5% to 11% when you’re below 60% HP. The lower your current health goes, the more damage Last Stand provides. In other words, you gain 5% damage buff when you’re below 60% HP but 11% damage buff when you’re at 30% HP.
So, Last Stand is a very useful rune for Singed, who’s always getting damaged in fights.
Future’s Market
The best secondary runes for Singed come from the Inspiration tree. Future’s Market allows you to go into debt when buying items from the Shop. This means that you can buy items even when you don’t have enough gold for them.
For example, if you need to buy Zhonya’s Hourglass and it costs 1050 gold buy at the moment, but you have 850 gold currently, you can actually buy it right away if your Future’s Market. You start with a 50 gold debt limit, but this increases as the game go on. In the late game, Future’s Market allows you to go 300+ gold in debt, which is pretty handy.
Timewarp Tonic
And the second rune from Inspiration you want to take is Timewarp Tonic. Timewarp Tonic improves your health potions, granting you 50% of their valuable right away and increasing your movement speed while the potion lasts.
Timewarp Tonic synergizes well with Corrupting Potion, which should be your starting item on Singed. And every time you use the Corrupting Potion, you’ll instantly gain a bit of HP, and you’ll run faster. This effect is pretty valuable in the laning phase.

The Best Conqueror Singed Item Build
Rylai’s Crystal Scepter
When it comes to itemization, Singed has only one item that he must get in every game – Rylai’s Crystal Scepter. This is such a vital part of Singed’s success that everybody recommends it as a first item. But why is Rylai’s Crystal Scepter so good on Singed?
In reality, this item does only one thing – it slows enemies by 30% for 1 second after you damage them. And with Singed, this means that you can continually slow your enemies while doing your normal damage (since his damage is DPS). This also increases the overall damage that Singed will do because it leaves enemy champions lingering for longer in his poisons.
On the other hand, Rylai’s Crystal scepter also grants 90 ability power and 350 health, which is pretty helpful too.
Riftmaker
And the mythic item you want to go for on Singed is Riftmaker. This is easily the best mythic you can purchase simply because of everything that grants.
First of all, Riftmaker gives you bonus health, ability power, ability haste, and omnivamp. It also grants you 2% omnivamp and 8 ability power per legendary item. But the best part is that Riftmaker increases your damage by 3% for every second you damage an enemy champion up to 9%. Then, it converts that 9% into true damage, making Singed a lot scarier to his opponents.
You can sometimes purchase Riftmaker as a first item, but it’s best as a second.
Demonic Embrace
Demonic Embrace is the third core item you want to get on Singed in every game. The item works perfectly on every tanky AP champion but especially Singed.
Damaging enemy champions with Demonic Embrace applies a burn effect, dealing damage up to 1.2% of their max HP. So, the more HP the target has, the more damage Demonic Embrace does. So the item is incredibly useful against tanks.
Additionally, Demonic Embrace grants bonus armor and magic resist when you deal damage.
Zhonya’s Hourglass
Zhonya’s Hourglass is one of the best defensive items you can buy in League of Legends. It’s particularly good on Singed because you also get additional armor. You can use its active, Stasis, to become invulnerable for 2.5 seconds, allowing you to dodge your opponents’ damage.
Zhonya’s Hourglass can be pretty effective in late-game team fights. It can surprise your enemies and allow you to escape certain death.
Deadman’s Plate
As a fifth item, I advise you to go for Deadman’s Plate. It fits Singed’s playstyle perfectly because it works passively.
Deadman’s Plate charges while Singed is moving. Once the item reaches 100 stacks, Singed’s next attack will deal bonus damage and also slow the enemy for 1 second. And this is ideal for setting up kills for your team.
However, if you’re against multiple AP champions and not AD, Force of Nature should be your choice over Deadman’s Plate.
Mercury’s Treads
The boots options for Singed are pretty simple. Mercury’s Treads are the best boots for Singed in 99% of the game. They grant Tenacity and magic resist, which is always useful.
However, if you’re against a full AD team and there aren’t too many crowd control abilities, then Plated Steelcaps might be the better choice here.
Summoner’s Spells
Within the League of Legends community, there is a great discussion of whether Singed is better with Flash or Ghost. Personally, I think that Flash is the overall better choice since it allows you to surprise your enemy and outplay them. Ghost can also be pretty useful in specific matchups.
The next Summoner Spell you want to take is Teleport. It allows you to quickly join team fights from across the map while you’re split pushing. Ignite is also a good choice, but Teleport is way more reliable in the late game.
Conclusion
And that’s all you need to know about playing Singed with Conqueror. This is by far the best rune page, and item build for this champion in season 12. I admit, Singed isn’t the strongest pick right now, but he can carry games if played correctly. You can also play Singed in the mid lane and counter many assassins there, such as Zed, Yasuo, or Katarina.
Good luck!
