Twitch is a most popular live streaming platform where broadcasters play games, make crafts, and share their daily life with people. People enjoy watching live videos because of their spontaneity, which was why the platform became so famous worldwide.
Streamers can become anyone on Twitch and broadcast content, interact with their audience and potentially build a community of fans. If streamers gain enough followers who enjoy their broadcasts, they can even make some good money on it. It’s usually a small amount of money, but now and then, some more significant donations take place.
Here are five of the biggest Twitch donations we were able to find:
5. CohhCarnage – $63,000
CohhCarnage (Ben) is a 38-year-old Youtuber and Twitch streamer from North Carolina. Ben had various jobs before becoming a streamer, such as working in Clinical IT, being a DJ, and producing Electric Dance Music.
On Twitch, he usually plays Role-Playing games such as the Dark Souls franchise. Some sources state that CohhCarnage has an estimated net worth of approximately $5,400,000 from streaming on Twitch and creating Youtube content.

4. CourageJD – $70,000
CourageJD is a 27-year-old American Youtuber and Twitch Streamer named Jack Dunlop. He is also a content creator and co-owner of 100 Thieves. He received a generous donation on Twitch while CourageJD was streaming the Fortnite game. The donation was placed from users Mr. Beast and Miniminter, who said that it’s only worth it if he won a pretty intense game.
Of course, JD succeeded. Interestingly, these two users, Mr. Beast and Miniminter, spend some time giving this donation to a player who wins in the Fortnite game, but since they all have failed, CourageJD took home this prize by fulfilling this condition.
3. Exotic Chaotic – $75,000
Exotic Chaotic is a Fortnite streamer who has enormous support from his subscribers. While streaming Fortnite, he once received $75,000 from a user called KingMascot. Since it was such a generous donation, Exotic had to log in to his PayPal account to confirm it wasn’t a hoax, but since KingMascot and he became friends through Fortnite, the donation was genuine.
At a time, donation this huge was extremely rare, and getting this one must have felt like hitting the jackpot, especially since the streamer had some financial difficulty at that moment. Call it a true friendship.

2. Ninja – $100,000
Besides being Youtuber and Twitch streamer, Ninja (Richard Tyler Blevins) is also a professional gamer. He began streaming while playing Halo but became famous once he played Fortnite Battle Royale. The fun fact is that he played Fortnite with Drake, Travis Scott, and JuJu Smith-Schuster, which made him gain a record number of subscribers on Twitch.
We can indeed say that Ninja is one of the most popular streamers worldwide. He even got some acting roles and has been nominated and won several awards, such as Streamy Awards, The Game Awards, Esports Wards, etc. However,
he urges his fans to keep their job and stay in school while gradually pursuing a gaming career since he had done precisely the same.

1. Dr.Lupo – $1,000,000
We can say that Dr.Lupo (Benjamin Lupo) had done the impossible. Nobody but the platform Twitch itself donated $1,000,000 to Dr.Lupo’s stream. He conducted a stream donation camp to raise money for cancer research and succeeded in getting donations which is definitely the most significant donation ever received by a streamer.
His target was to raise $2,000,000, and Twitch’s donation made reaching that goal more manageable. This is an absolutely brilliant move from Twitch, and it showed the world that charity streams should be supported and hopefully gain targeted money. The fun fact is that Dr.Lupo has left Twitch to sign an exclusive deal with Youtube Gaming.
As you can see, almost every considerable donation was placed while the streamer was playing a game, and most of them were males. Surprisingly, most Twitch users are male and not teens and tweens, but people in the 18-34 years age bracket. On average, Twitch gets more than 15 million daily active users, one of the highest sources of internet traffic in North America.
With this kind of potential, this platform definitely can be a place for getting some good money. Whether you want to connect with the gamers community, host sports challenges, show your talent, or watch live content, this is the platform to do so. And who knows, you might get some good bucks for it.
