As a League of Legends player, I just HAVE to HAVE my precious skins. You see, it’s one thing to win the match, but it’s another when you win in style, and I’m the type of player that just has to win in style. Before I hit that Queue button, I make sure I’m all suited up with the best skin for me – skins are a great way to express yourself, and they also add some excitement to the game (as if it’s not exciting enough).
For those of you who are looking to add a whole new level of excitement to League of Legends when you play Ekko, he currently has six skins for you to choose from. I know, I can’t believe it either, six skins isn’t a whole lot to play around with, but the ones he does have are well worth it and have great visuals.
So today, I am going to give you a list of the best Ekko skins – these are ranked from the worst to the best…
6. SKT T1 Ekko
This one right here was actually a limited time eSports skin for Ekko – it was introduced during the SKT World Championship. For this reason, it has a gold and red color scheme going on, and I must say, the color scheme (gold and red) is pretty stylish. I think they go quite well together. In the picture, look at the gold skin on Ekko, don’t you think that looks good?
Ekko has a new glow for his sword with his skin, and there are new particles for his abilities, recall, and auto-attack. The new recall animation is also pretty cool, and the new sounds for his auto-attack, abilities, and recall are like Bubbles from the Trailer Park Boys would say, DECENT.
For his splash art, however, there’s no reason for setting or background. We could conclude that the champion is framed by the sky of undefined characteristics. What stands out, however, in the splash art, would be the setup of the piece. Looking at the ensemble, it reminds us of Justice League with the way superheroes appear.
Pros
- New animations
- New particles
- New glow to his sword
Cons
- No real background to his splash art
The cost of this skin is 1350 RP.

5. Academy Ekko
Personally, I don’t care for this skin – this is the cheapest option if you’re looking for a skin for Ekko, and unfortunately, it does show. Basically, what you have here is a costume change from his base skin. However, there was a point in time where I just felt something about this skin, and decided to purchase it. I guess I did it because I wanted something different, or maybe because I just collect skins and need every single one of them.
In this skin, we see Ekko dressed up as a wellborn intellectual student. Yes, there’s a new model for Ekko and his sword, but there are no new animations, no new particles, and no new sounds to look forward to.
The splash art is pretty cool, with four students posing in class, and the blackboard highlights the intellectual portion. You have the tough guy showing his might, the aristocrat reassuring his looks, and the lady checking her phone as the sunlight shines on her.
One thing is for sure, and that’s the fact that Ekko is wearing some pretty stylish clothes here, and they make him look smart. In fact, he looks so smart that he could easily pass as being a spoiled brat that always gets what he wants, when he wants.
Pros
- Ekko is stylish
- A new model for Ekko and his sword
Cons
- Basic skin, nothing special
- No new particles
- No new sound
- No new animations
The cost of this skin is 750 RP
4. Sandstorm Ekko
The Sandstorm Ekko is like a value option for Ekko, at least, that’s how I look at it. The hourglass representing the sands of time on his back looks great. The Sandstorm Ekko skin may not have all the bells and whistles like the expensive options have, but that’s okay because it still serves a purpose. I have a friend who actually uses this skin as the main one for Ekko, and he’s happy with it.
Ekko Sandstorm is a tribute to the Sands of Time and Prince of Persia. This skin provides new golden particles for Ekko’s abilities, recall, auto-attack, joke, taunt, dance, and death. There are also new sounds for his auto-attack, abilities, and recall.
The steampunk touch on this skin is pretty cool – Ekko s dressed like a bandit of the desert. The loose and comfortable clothing, along with his lovely hairstyle, goes excellent with his covered face. The golden sand clock and baggy trousers do a great job at getting the intended theme across. The golden particles sprinkle the sands of time over his actions.
Pros
- Gold abilities when cast
- New glow for his sword
- The new model for Ekko
- New golden particles
- New sounds
Cons
- New sounds aren’t all that impressive
The price for this skin is 975 RP

3. Project Ekko
Personally, I don’t really care much for the Project line of skins on League of Legends, but the Project Ekko skin is an exception because it really isn’t all that bad. The green and silver color scheme, I believe, was a great choice. This skin glows, and to me, it looks like it came straight out of Tron – if you’re familiar with Tron, you’ll understand what I mean here.
It fits the theme of time travel for sure. Mind you, the Project Ekko may not be his best skin, but it’s definitely one of the better Project skins.
The sounds give the visuals a nice compliment to the visuals, and Ekko’s acrobatics suit his personality. When you add it all together, Project Ekko is an excellent skin that surprises us all.
Pros
- Green and silver color scheme
- New particles for his abilities, auto-attack, recall, and death
- New sounds for his abilities, auto-attack, and recall
Cons
- The price
The price for this skin: 1350 RP
2. Trick or Treat Ekko
I always love Halloween skins, and when I saw this Trick or Treat Ekko, I just had to have it – right now, and it just so happens to be one of my favorite skins. I was actually surprised to see Ekko included in the Halloween line of skins. This skin right here is fun. It has bats, pumpkins, a mask, and even a cauldron full of candy.
The W has an imprint of his mask, and his Q would be his pumpkin. Basically, it has everything you would expect to have in a Halloween themed skin.
While this skin may lack in certain areas, it sure does make up for that in other areas. Take the costume as an example, while it’s fitting, it seems as if it was designed by a kid, or maybe purchased at one of those off-brand Halloween shops. The skeleton costume idea is pretty weak, but that sword that has been turned into a club is nothing to argue with.
The particles are where it’s all at with this skin. The auto-attacks and other abilities have some interesting changes to them.
Pros
- Ekko has a Halloween themed skin (what’s not to love)
Cons
- The costume
The price for this skin is 1350 RP.
1. True Damage Ekko
For Ekko, the True Damage skin is the newest and most expensive skin you’re going to get, and I must say, the price you’re going to pay is well worth every penny. The outfit is stunning, and Ekko really does a great job at fitting in as a rapper. The neon yellows, purples, and blues show through really well and give a nice visual effect. The W looks like it buffers, giving a little circle before a mix of color drops.
The True Damage Ekko skin has a lot going on for it, and it looks amazing. Sure, the price may prevent some from picking it up, but trust me, if you can afford it, you’re going to want it. Apart from the Halloween skin, this one right here is my favorite.
Pros
- Ekko looks great as a rapper
- The colors
Cons
- The price
The price of this skin is 1820 RP.
Conclusion
So there you have it, the best Ekko skins ranked from the worst to the best. Out of all these skins, which ones are your favorite?
